1. Why Iceland? Your first memory related to Iceland.
Over 10 years ago, my friend brought homemade smoked salmon from Akureyri back from her trip to Icelan. It tasted deliciously, at least to me and my cat. I decided then that one day I would somersault the salmon and it would be as good as the one that Kate brought. Since I’m vegan I haven’t eaten any salmon for a long time, but still my goal has been achieved. I have fulfilled one of my dreams and Iceland was very much needed for this.
2. What are you doing here?
I'm checking out what does adulthood mean. I live and work. I constantly look for inspiration. I'm wondering what will happen next. I teach my son about life, and together we explore the reality around.
3. What is the best experience that Iceland has given you?
Wind in my hair regardless of the weather. Nude bathing at dawn in hot springs, wonderful people around, and motherhood.
4. What do you like the most in Iceland?
Ocean a few hundred meters away from home, hot springs, pools and northen lights. White nights in the summer, gas stations with liquorice candy and the most creamy ice cream I've ever eaten in my life.
5. What are the disadvantages of Iceland?
Winter, tomatoes and the price of renting apartments.
6. Is Iceland a good country to stay for a long time?
Iceland is a safe and peaceful place. However, personally, I'm starting to suffocate here a little and consider looking for an alternative.
7. What is your favourite Icelandic word?
Hvað - miniumum content, maximum meaning.
